Jay Bisognano formed Torrington Properties in 2014 to focus on opportunities in value-added Real Estate Investment, Development, and Management. He oversees the execution of Torrington’s investment strategy which has grown the company to include multi-family apartment buildings, hotels, office/retail and development sites throughout New England. Torrington currently owns over 35 properties and has a market value of over $150MM.
In addition to Torrington, Jay co-founded Stonington Capital, a real estate finance company focusing on flexible debt structures for investors and developers.
Previously, Jay served as Executive Vice President and Partner of The Mount Vernon Company in Boston, where he oversaw the daily operations of a $400 million portfolio of Residential, Commercial & Development assets.
Jay is a graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut where he received a Bachelor’s in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.
Jay is currently the co-chair of the board of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County
